Days after the Global Women's March, the spring 2017 Paris Fashion Week kicked off. In order to debut the Chanel spring 2017 couture collection, Karl Lagerfeld and the Chanel team created a mirrored runway inside a hall full of mirrors allowing Paris to sparkle a bit brighter than usual as well as the reflections of floating models down the mirrored runway—inspired by Coco’s iconic staircase at 31 Rue Cambon.
The show kicked off with a power lineup of skirt suits in pastel shades with an 80s-inspired design featuring structured shoulders, fitted waists, and big pockets and strutted to evening dresses embroidered beautifully in sparkles and feathers, that simply took our breath away.

Closing the show was Chanel's "it girl" Lily-Rose Depp. Depp glided down the mirrored runway as if it were her wedding aisle. The Chanel bride was in an extravagant pink gown which fell in cascading layers around her. While the final look of a couture show is, traditionally, a bridal one, ending things with the teenage Depp in a color other than white left an unforgettable impression in the fashion world.
